After supper, by the fire, we drank hot beer. On a world where a common table implement is a little device with which you crack the ice that has formed on your drink between drafts, hot beer is a thing you come to appreciate.

Teaser Tuesdays is a fun weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!
Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Good one. Although I still don’t think I want warm beer.
How’s the book? I’ve been curious since The Jane Austen Book Club.
The book is really good so far – very different from what I usually read, but that’s a good thing.
I´m intrigued! :)
Great teaser! I haven’t read anything by Ursula K Le Guin, but I’ve heard a lot about this author. Looking forward to you review.
Wow! So you are reading ‘The Left Hand of Darkness’ :) It was featured in the New Yorker’s ‘Book Bench’ sometime back. Did you get to read about it? I got it as a Christmas present and am hoping to read it sometime this year. Looking forward to reading your review of it :) Great teaser :)
Yup, reading it now and really enjoying it! :)
I didn’t read the article then, but I’ve found several good pieces from The New Yorker about it, that I’ve bookmarked to read when I finish.
I’ll post a book review when I finish, too. :)
