Lisa See
I was reading before work this morning, and something very shocking happened on page 95 of the book, Peony in Love.
I don’t think I’ve ever read a novel that had something like this happen 1/3 into the book.
I should have known something was fishy when I went to a book signing last night for this book (when I was about 80 pages in) and the author briefly described the plot and it sounded absolutely nothing like the book I was reading. Actually, now I’m to page 130 and it still doesn’t sound like the book I’m reading. The book is 273 pages total.
Interesting!
