What’s the longest flight on an airplane you’ve ever taken? What was the best part? …And the worst?
The longest flight I’ve ever taken was Detroit to London.
The best part was that it was British Airways, and it was a very nice plane and they gave each person a blanket, sleep mask, warm socks, and a mini toothbrush and toothpaste.
The worst parts were the following:
-The girl in front of me who kept her seat all the way reclined the entire time, even during meals.
-The brief bit of turbulence that occurred immediately after my coffee was poured, sending the entire contents onto my lap.
-Falling asleep, waking up after what seemed like hours of sleep and thinking we must be nearly there, and then checking and learning that I’d only been asleep for 45 minutes and we still have 6 hours to go.
-The strangeness of eating dinner, the lights going down and everyone falling asleep, and then the crew bringing the lights back on 2 hours later and serving breakfast. Are we supposed to make up for the jet lag & time difference on the flight?
That’s a lot more worse parts than good, but the bottom line was that I was on my way to Rome, traveling abroad for my first time, and it would have taken a lot more than that list to take the grin off my face.
